Roof finished


Richard finished the roof of our new kitchen , bathroom and laundry today. I do not want to put in a ceiling, only insulation and heat reflecting paint will do!

new road - completed



A week ago we started to CUT a new road , from the homestead to the main road. This road will shorten the distance through the bush , from 2km to 1km.

Electricity...





130 m electrical cable arrived from Windhoek and Mr Baikich, the local electrical engineer, starts connecting the two dwellings to the local grid.

Concrete mixer miraculously restored by Mr Jaap Visser and fitted with a new V belt.

The last building materials, the 0.5 mm IBR sheets, arrive on site.

Swopping doors and windows...




The door of the kitchen becomes the door of the bathroom and the window of the bathroom becomes the window of the kitchen...

Building Materials arrive...





Sand, Bricks and Stone finally arrived via two truck loads.

Our builder for this project is Richard Somseb and two mates. They started with the renovations today.

The Pace is picking up....



Alfonds and Team started to dig the trench for the electrical cable. Specifications were 600 mm - there first attempt reached 200 mm deep.
